SENIOR FOREST ENGINEER
Meridian Forest Services Ltd is growing our Team! We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior Forestry Engineer.
Meridian is an innovative natural resource management consulting company based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, with offices in Coombs and Port Alberni. Our team at Meridian provides clients with safe, quality, efficient, and professional services for the Private and Crown sectors of British Columbia’s Forest industry.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Senior Forest Engineer must guide and mentor a team in the completion of block layout, total chance planning, field reconnaissance, road layout, resource assessments, client liaison and office administration.
Eligibility Requirements
Interested applicants for this position must be able to demonstrate the following criteria:
Successful completion of post-secondary education from an accredited College or University with a degree or diploma in the field of “Forestry;” or significant related experience.
- Active members of FPBC or being eligible for registration with FPBC is preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience (Senior) in the BC Coastal Forest industry.
- A valid BC driver’s license.
Meridian offers a great working environment with a large diversity of work and clients. Wages are based on experience and ability and range from $25-$32/hr, on a 50 hour work week. We offer a benefit package, and cover professional dues.
