Meridian Forest Services Limited provides professional Forest Tenure Management expertise and works with clients to ensure their natural resources are managed responsibly and sustainably for future generations.
Meridian provides initial strategic level plans, management and forest stewardship plans, annual logging plans, as well as all operational and site level plans. In addition, we manage all required permitting including cutting, road authority, special use, and alteration permits. Meridian tracks cut control, stumpage estimates, as well as scale, waste, and billing. Together with our clients, we develop annual operating budgets that correspond to annual logging plans.
During the operational phases, Meridian releases all plans to harvest and road contractors. We conduct and document regular site inspections of active operations as well as post-harvest inspections once activities are complete.
After harvesting operations are complete, Meridian manages road deactivation, waste assessments, burning, and planting as well as any other obligation that might need to be completed including wind firming treatments. In addition, we submit results to Governments as well as maintain silviculture and road liabilities for our clients.
